Falling in Love with Golf (Again) with Sunday Golf

Earlier this year I reached out toย Sunday Golfย to see if they might want to collaborateโ€”because Iโ€™d been eyeing theirย Ryderย golf bag for months. Not long after, I played my very first fullย 18-hole courseย in Myrtle Beach with my husband, father-in-law, and brother-in-lawโ€ฆand to my surprise, I actually enjoyed it!

In the past, golf always felt a little intimidating. Someone was forever correcting my grip or stance, which chipped away at my confidence and made it hard to relax. But this time was different. Maybe itโ€™s age, maybe itโ€™s finally listening to all those lessons from years ago, but the real difference was Josh. My husband made the game fun. He never corrected me unless I asked, cheered me on after every โ€œmistake,โ€ and kept reminding me, โ€œItโ€™s just a gameโ€”none of us are actually good at it!โ€ That simple encouragement completely changed the experience for me.

Fast forward to today and Iโ€™m even more excited about playing thanks to myย new Ryder bag from Sunday Golf. Itโ€™s lightweight, beautifully designed, and somehow makes me want to schedule tee times just so I can carry it. Our family trip to Myrtle Beach didnโ€™t come together this year, but Iโ€™ll be ready for next season. In the meantime, Josh and I plan to explore some of the gorgeous courses closer to homeโ€”like theย Hilton Head National Golf Course. I visited briefly before a wedding job and was blown away by how beautiful it was. Next time, Iโ€™ll leave the camera equipment at home!

Hereโ€™s to new gear, encouraging playing partners, and rediscovering a sport I never thought Iโ€™d love.
